Position Summary Defines implements and leads the business unit Learning and Development strategy for all employee levels within the organization while coordinating with Transfield Services global resources. Translates the company values and brand into strategic and tactical learning programs and initiatives. Directs the design, development and delivery of leadership, middle management, supervisory and technical and non-technical operations training for 500+ employees. Identify business unit organizational training needs through an understanding of global company values and brand promise while designing a business unit strategy to address workforce development needs and skill gap analysis. ? Performs detailed skill gap analysis where necessary to identify learning gaps. Must have intimate knowledge of the all positions within the business unit as well as detailed knowledge of the business and the role of each employee. ? Ensures the business unit learning programs build core capabilities to meet evolving business needs and enable execution through leadership effectiveness, organizational/operational effectiveness, and professional effectiveness while building manager and leadership strength. ? Uses instructional design methodology to develop training, job aids and other learning materials for e-learning, blended learning programs and web-based training. ? Collaborates with Human Resources, Corporate/Region L&D team members, Field Operations SMEs and external vendors to develop, implement and monitor learning solutions for all employee levels. ? Ensures effective utilization of business until L&D programs that support specific business objectives including change management, project management, coaching, collaboration, innovation, etc ? Selects external vendors where appropriate and monitor the quality, relevance and cost of programs delivered. ? Solicits feedback on the effectiveness of training programs (all employee levels) and implements appropriate changes. ? Serves in a hands on capacity to coordinate, facilitate and manage delivery of training, training curricula, content creation and delivery, systems trouble-shooting, knowledge sharing and LMS evaluation ? Responsible for reporting and analysis of Learning and Development metrics while overseeing the Transportation Infrastructure Learning Management System. ? Measures the impact of learning and development investments including retention, personal performance, bench strength as demonstrated through talent assessment ? Perform related responsibilities as required.
